Southeast 401(k) Plan and Profit-Sharing Plan
Southeast Food Distribution’s’ 401(k) plan is another benefit designed to help you plan and invest for the future through long-term saving, using pre-tax dollars. This means that the money you save plus the amount normally paid in taxes will be put into your 401(k) savings account.
Southeast Food Distribution will match personal contributions to each participating employee’s 401(k) account, if the company achieves its earnings target for the fiscal year, at a rate of 25% of each dollar contributed to a maximum of 6% of the employee’s annual compensation.
Each eligible employee is also entitled to the benefit of the company’s profit-sharing plan. This benefit is paid 100% by the employer if the company achieves its earnings target for the fiscal year. This amount is then allocated to the profit-sharing account for each eligible employee. Enrollment into these programs is available during the months of January and July for full-time employees who have completed one-year of service prior to the enrollment period and have worked at least 1,000 hours.
Full-time employees are eligible for short-term disability benefits after satisfying a 180-day exclusion period. Benefits begin on the eighth consecutive day the employee is out of work due to an illness, pregnancy or off-the-job accident. Benefits are 50% of the employee’s basic weekly earnings and are payable for up to 26 weeks.
Full-time employees are eligible for long-term disability benefits. Benefits begin after an elimination period of 180 days and after short-term benefits have been exhausted. Benefits are 50% of the employee’s basic monthly earnings.
