Southeast Frozen Foods hires Tony Antelo as new distribution operations manager

SOUTHEAST FROZEN FOODS BUILDS WHOLESALE EXPERTISE WITH HIRING OF TONY ANTELO AS NEW DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS MANAGER

January 4, 2005, North FL, Miami — In a move that will solidify Southeast Frozen Foods and Southeast Wholesale's already strong position in wholesale and frozen food distribution in South Florida, Southeast announced today the hiring of Antonio Antelo as the company's new Distribution Operations Manager. Antelo will be responsible for Southeast Wholesale's new state-of-the-art facility in Medley, Florida and Southeast Frozen's warehouse in North Miami.

Antelo is the latest member to join Southeast's first-class team in frozen and wholesale food distribution. He comes to Southeast with more than 25 years of experience in all aspects of wholesale distribution, most recently as night operations manager at Associated Grocers of Florida.

As Distribution Operations Manager, Antelo will work with supervisors and employees at Southeast's facilities in North Miami and Medley, overseeing all facets of operations, including receiving, shipping, sanitation and staffing. Izzy Kaplan, who formerly served as Distribution Operations Manager at those facilities, has become Southeast's Manager of Operation Systems and New Projects.

Before coming to Southeast, Antelo worked as the night operations manager at Associated Grocers of Florida, where he oversaw the shipping operations of both groceries and perishable foods. Prior to working at Associated Grocers, Antelo was a longtime star at Fleming Companies, in Miami, where over the course of more than 20 years he worked his way up from supervisor of inventory to warehouse manager, a position he held for 10 years. Antelo has more than 25 years' experience in the industry.

Known for his steady stewardship and positive relations with the employees and supervisors that are his charge, Antelo is loved by employees and family alike. When he's not at the office, Antelo enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his kids' sports teams, volunteering for a beautification project called Bay Clean Up, and tinkering with motorcycles. He also has been known to cook a mean hamburger at various charity fundraisers.
